Seniors – It’s Time to Apply for Grass-Cutting Program The Village is accepting applications for the Senior Grass Cutting Program now, which will run from May until the end of October. Qualified Seniors will pay $7 per cut. You can obtain an application at Village Hall or by calling 847-671-8240. If you have previously been on the grass or snow program and your health condition has not changed, you will not need to send in a new doctor’s note, but will need to submit an application. The Franklin Park Library, located at 10311 Grand Avenue, will be changing its hours beginning January 1. The Library will be open Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 9 PM and on Saturday from 9 AM to 5 PM. The new expanded hours on Friday will allow access to the Library after school and work on Friday evenings. The Library will also offer new programs for children, teens, and adults during the evenings. The Library will be closed on Sundays. For more information please call 847-455-6016.
 
Leyden Credit Union ATM Installed at the Franklin Park Police Station A Leyden Credit Union ATM is available to the public inside the Franklin Park Police Station. The machine will accept any credit union or bank ATM / Debit Card. There is NO charge for Leyden Credit Union members who use the machine or for members of any other credit union that are part of the Co-Op Network. There is a $2 surcharge for non-members. The ATM is available 24 hours a day 7 days a week.

Income eligible residents may file for help with winter home heating bills through the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP). A representative will be at Village Hall on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month, beginning November 20th, from 9:30AM to 12:00 noon to process LIHEAP applications.​
