The Franklin Park Fire Department operates in conjunction with multiple Specialty Teams including Hazardous Materials, Technical Rescue (rope rescue, high angle rescue, trench rescue, confined space rescue, and collapse rescue), and Surface Water Rescue within the Village.
In addition, these teams are an active part of MABAS Division 20 consisting of 17 neighboring communities. These teams are made up of members from most fire departments within Division 20 and teams respond to all requests for assistance from any department that may need help within their community. In addition, Franklin Park assists the teams by housing and maintaining several response vehicles and equipment.
All team members are Certified in the State of Illinois at multiple levels and skills, as well as having three members actively training and responding with the State Urban Search and Rescue Team.
