VILLAGE OF FRANKLIN PARK REQUEST FOR STATEMENT OF INTEREST (SOI) for

Phase 1 Engineering Services for the Federally Funded

FRANKLIN PARK ACCESS TO TRANSIT PROGRAM

The Village of Franklin Park (VOFP) seeks to retain the services of a qualified and experienced professional firm(s) to provide Phase I Engineering Services according to IDOT procedures for the multi-use path through the Village. Services will include Coordination with IDOT and Railroad, Traffic Analysis, topographic survey and a Project Development Report.

PROJECT BACKGROUND

The Village of Franklin Park has been selected to participate in a submittal to CMAQ through the RTA for a village-wide series of multi-use paths to encourage access to the PACE bus and Metra train lines. This project includes on road lanes with “sharrows” and dedicated bike lanes, off road multi-use paths, and sidewalk sections to fill in gaps within the Village’s main arterials through town.

ANTICIPATED SCOPE OF SERVICES

The firms who are interested in providing these services for VOFP must appear on the IDOT’s current Approved Location Design Studies – Rehabilitation, Special Studies – Traffic Studies and Special Studies – Safety as shown on their website at:

Conceptual Plans will be provided by the VOFP.  Tasks involved with this project include, but are not limited to:

Field Reconnaissance

Topographic Survey

Environmental Coordination and Analysis

Traffic Analysis

Proposed Improvements Plan

Project Development Report 

SUBMITTAL REQUREMENTS

The submittal should be limited to 6 single-sided pages using 12-point font, and should include the following information:

  1. Name, address, and brief history of the Firm
  2. Key Staff identify key personnel.
  3. Related Project Experience during the last five years. Include the name of the project, location of the project, narrative of the acquisitions, a contact person and dollar amount for each example.
  4. Statement of Availability and proximity to the project site.
  5. You are invited to include additional information not included above, within the six-page limit, if you believe it may be useful and applicable to this project.

Submit one (1) original and three (3) copies no later than October 2, 2020 at 3:00 p.m. addressed to:
